6.1  Clinical Trial Sponsors and Partners

9. Data Retention

  • Website enquiry and contact data: retained for up to 2 years from your last interaction with us, or until you request deletion.

  • Clinical trial eligibility and health information submitted through the Site: retained for up to 3 years, or longer if required by the applicable study protocol, sponsor requirements, or regulatory obligations.

  • Professional information submitted by investigators or research professionals: retained for up to 5 years from submission.

  • Technical and analytics data: retained in anonymised or aggregated form for up to 26 months (Google Analytics default).

Data relating to formally enrolled clinical trial participants is subject to separate retention schedules governed by ICH GCP requirements and applicable sponsor agreements, which typically require retention for a minimum of 15 to 25 years.

10. International Data Transfers

ACR operates in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection standards to those in your home jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal data from the UK or EU to countries not recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection (including the United States in certain contexts), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, which may include:

  • UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with our service providers and partners.

We will respond to all requests within one month (UK/EU GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA/CPRA) of receipt. In complex cases we may extend this period, in which case we will notify you.

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests but reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.

13. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
